BRAIN FORCE SOFTWARE aggressively sets out to open up the US market
They have taken a 10 % share in sales partner Kemp Technologies Inc. who market and develop load balancing products

Vienna, October 07, 2005

As part of their new global sales strategy, BRAIN FORCE SOFTWARE are now intensifying their activities in the US market.

Kemp Technologies Inc., who used to sell products based on an OEM contract, acquired the rights to the B-100 series from BRAIN FORCE SOFTWARE for USD 900,000and will develop these products further.

With this move, Kemp now become a provider of technology in their own right.

"In return, we have acquired a first 10 % share in Kemp which we will increase in stages to 30 % during the next year", says Helmut Fleischmann, CEO of BRAIN FORCE HOLDING AG.

With this investment, Kemp are now in a position to strongly increase their marketing and sales activities.

Many activities are planned, e.g., attendance at the ISPCON (October 18 to 20, 05 in Santa Clara, CA) and INTEROP (December 13 to 15, 05 in New York) trade shows.

"With our stronger commitment with Kemp, we are now able provide medium-sized US companies, who sell their products on the internet, with better load balancing support than we were able to before, when we had nothing but a successful sales partnership", explains Mr. Fleischmann.

"Our investment with Kemp is a true milestone as it allows us to get to know the US market better and to make contact with other sales partners", adds the CEO.

From his point of view, a German-Austrian IT provider would have no chance as a lone fighter, as can be seen from the difficulties even renowned global players from old Europe have encountered when trying to canvass this market.

"With this deal, we have created a basis for offering more products in the US in the future."

The background: BRAIN FORCE SOFTWARE's load balancing product B-100 which is sold by Kemp in the US under the brand name "LoadMaster" was devised particularly to suit medium-sized companies who sell their products on the internet, and the system offers great value for money.

In Germany, the need for such a product today is still limited, as small and medium-sized companies (SMCs) are not yet involved in E-commerce to any great extent.

The situation is quite different in the US though, where it is a "must" for medium-sized companies to offer their products on the www.

These providers need LoadBalancer to ensure availability and performance of their portals and webshops.
