Cost transparency clearly enhanced – a prerequisite for sustainable reduction in spending
Munich, July 26, 2005
By March 2006, BRAIN FORCE SOFTWARE will establish for the Bavarian capital a billing and cost allocation system based on the Linux version of BRAIN FORCE SOFTWARE's INKAS SQL. With this, much greater transparency of telephone charges is to be gained.
"At times when municipal resources are tight, this benefit is critical. Greater transparency is a prerequisite to making a considerable reduction in costs, especially fixed costs – and less spending by the municipality is for the benefit of all citizens", states Helmut Fleischmann, CEO of the group's parent company BRAIN FORCE HOLDING AG.
Mr. Fleischmann announces: "We will support the Bavarian capital by making all our know-how available. Our longstanding experience gained across Europe in a whole range of projects in all areas of the public sector will greatly help us to accomplish this task."
The decision in favour of INKAS SQL was based on future challenges. Only leading-edge technology is a safe investment and its use will ensure that the requirements of tomorrow can be met.
The concept encompasses among other features a plausibility check of invoices received from carriers and of bookings made using SAP R/3.
Also, invoice data is read from telecommunication equipment provided by Siemens and Tenovis. In addition, the system prepares invoices for services rendered within the municipality.
Using a system called WebBill, persons in charge of cost centres may access and analyse invoice data over the intranet. This gives higher cost transparency.
The application also facilitates itemised bills and statistical analyses.
Acting as a general contractor, BRAIN FORCE SOFTWARE will provide and install the hardware required on the server and the client side.
The system will be replacing a purpose designed concept based on Microsoft DOS.
