Ad-hoc: BRAIN FORCE SOFTWARE AG: Profit for the period in first nine months of 2004 up EUR 2.33 million on previous year

Vienna, 23rd November 2004 The nine-month report for 2004 published today provides confirmation of the preliminary profit figures published on 2nd November. The Brain Force Software group achieved an EBIT of
EUR 1.74 million (previous year: TEUR -565), an EBITDA of EUR 2.99 million (previous year: EUR 1.45 million) and turnover of EUR 47.97 million 2004 (previous year: EUR 43.93 million) by 30th September.

Turnover for the third quarter was EUR 16.17 million (previous year: EUR 15.47 million), equivalent to a 4.6 percent improvement on the previous year's value. The EBITDA for the group increased by 28.9 percent (EBITDA for third quarter 2004: EUR 1.17 million; previous year: TEUR 906). The rise in the EBIT was an impressive 465.2 percent (EBIT for third quarter 2004: TEUR 710; previous year: TEUR 126).

The profit for the period before minorities indicated in the nine-month report stood at
TEUR 860, EUR 2.33 million above the EUR -1.47 million loss for the period in the first nine months of 2003.

For the first nine months of 2004, the result per share stood at EUR 0.09 (previous year: EUR -0.34).

As reported on 15th November, having completed the accounts for the current quarterly report, the takeover bid by EDC Investment Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of DICOM Group plc) in respect of the shares of TOPCALL International AG was successful. Within the context of the takeover bid, Brain Force has also transferred its 876,528 shares in TOPCALL International AG at a price of EUR 4.28, and will thereby raise EUR 3.75 million.

The exchange gain from the sale of shares means that we will exceed our target result per share of EUR 0.16 for 2004 as a whole.
