Turnover was therefore 9.3 percent up on the planned value of EUR 70 million, the EBITDA exceeded the planned value of EUR5.5 million by 8.7 percent and the EBIT improved on the published planned value of EUR 3.4 million by 3.5percent.
The EBITDA margin reached 7.8percent in 2005 (previous year: 6.4 percent); the EBIT margin stood at 4.6 percent (previous year: 3.7 percent).
The increase in the margin resulted from the consistent implementation of the “buy and build” strategy and the associated expansion into high-margin market segments.
These results confirm the strong integration capabilities of the BRAIN FORCE group as well as our ability to achieve margin growth as predicted in spite of sharply rising turnover.
Even at this very early point, the integration of the last two acquisitions has reached a stage that enables us to move ahead with the next growth steps. We are therefore planning to finance the next phase of acquisition using the funds from the forthcoming capital increase.
Earnings per share stood at EUR 0.30 (previous year: EUR 0.21). The EPS thereby exceeded the original planned value of EUR 0.19 as well as November’s revised forecast of EUR 0.25.
The operating EPS amounted to EUR0.20, adjusted to take account of non-operating effects linked to the change in deferred taxes, triggered by the planned “squeeze out” in relation to subsidiary company BRAIN FORCE Financial Solutions AG and depreciation from the purchase price allocation (according toIFRS3) resulting from acquisitions in 2005.
As of 31st December 2005, means of payment and short-term monies assessed in current investments of EUR 11.79 million (EUR 18.49 million on 31st December 2004) were available to the Brain Force group.
